George Bush’s trail of destruction - God help America.

The Therapist by Donna Williams Now the ‘terrorists’ are equivalent to Nazis, Fascists and Communists, according to the new campaign trail launched by George W Bush to try and win back failing support for his unlawful invasion of Iraq which has so far left 2,500 Americans and 45,000 Iraqis dead

OK, so when Bush waged his ‘war on terror’ in Iraq, there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, 47,500 people are now dead from the Iraq ‘war on terror’ and the (US) superpower that waged war on Iraq did so in violation of the United Nations and then gave its own citizens the contracts to rebuild what it, itself had bombed.

Then after Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers (Israel had already kidnapped 10,000 Palestinians held in ITS jails) Irael invaded Lebanon and asked US to urgently send more weapons shipments of cluster bombs to Israel (as it had already sent to them in 1982 when they waged an earlier invasion of Lebanon).

Israel recently dropped 379 of these cluster bombs on the 1300 mostly Lebanese civillians (90% of which it dropped in the last 72 hours AFTER the announcement of an agreed ceasefire). And those left unexploded will now blow the limbs off children who find them as refugees return to their destroyed villages to salvage some kind of life.

Now, pardon me if I’m missing something here, but there are communist countries who have not been doing this sort of wholesale white-washed massacre recently. And Fascism is a system where a power dictates over others with no regard for what is legal or just. And Nazism is about a narcissistic cultural/racial superiority people use to justify their belief in a right to harm others they see as evil or inferior.

The president attempting to TERRORISE his own citizens into fearing moslem nations through the strategic use of TRIGGER words like TERRORIST, NAZI, FASCIST, COMMUNIST is the same president responsible for the training and instruction of those who committed the tortures and atrocities at Abu Graib, those who have tortured and sexually assaulted prisoners at the illegal facility of Guantanamo Bay conveniently located in Cuba and sanctioned most of their confessions under torture via EXTRAORDINARY RENDITION to countries that allow torture before using this to imprison them in solitary confinement, often without light for months at a time at Guantamo Bay (as in the case of Australian political pawn, David Hicks, found guarding a tank and having trained at an illegal combat training camp… as opposed to Mr Bush’s legal ones that have trained torturers).

So exactly how much fear will the American public buy? They’re not puppets for the psychological manipulation of any sociopath to play with. They have grown beyond the trigger words used to control them and distract them from legitimately begrudging below award wages, exploitation, rampant homelessness, slums, lack of access to healthcare for the poor, racial inequality and violence, right wing legitimising of gay bashings, a still existant Ku Klux Klan and growing Neo-Nazi movement, and the sacrificing of thousands to the hurricane forces of Katrina in New Orleans as the funds were diverted to ‘more important things’.

The American public has made up its mind on Mr Bush with his 30% approval rating. Are they not entitled to have their own minds, their own opinions without a campaign trail broadcast 24/7 peppered with TRIGGER WORDS to numb them, hypnotise them, back into fear… and compliance?

Some say God Bless America.

I say, with George W Bush, Rumsfeld and their administration playing God with the minds of Americans, then God help America.

  1. As a citizen of America I definitely have to respond to this……………..this is a sad, sad, political situation……….its bad, terrible……..any other negative word you can think of…………..

People are irritated with the situation here…………but alot of them, might not realise that saying “I don’t give a damn anymore” is actually helping the administration exploit us even more……..and those of us that do give a damn………are at a loss as to how to be heard I guess…………..

Frustrating situation. when you arrive here, in the States, it may or may not be even more evident to you then………………

Looking forward to your workshop thing……….

    take care

  2. fear exhausts people and this has been an era of governments psychologically and emotionally abusing their citizens, hypnotising them with constant prompts to fear as a tool of dominating their thought and making themselves ‘big brother’.

but bigger than fear is empowerment

and voices do change the tides of trends and fashions

eventually those leading the sheep become the followers

    seeking the next trend.

lets hope the next trend is one of focus on humanity more than dogma, on open mindedness more than self righteousness, on insightful relativism not crusades.

I believe in the power of the little people and here is one of many walls waiting for voiceless people to make themselves heard.

    I hear your heart.

    The caring are not alone.

We should be grateful to the current administration in the US for overthrowing an inhumane leader in Iraq and removing all of the inhumane practices. Same for Afganastan — overthrowing the inhumane government there and all of it’s inhuman practices. Each country was limiting the freedom of it’s people in fundamental ways, especially women and children. They were killing people in their country that disagreed with them, and on a huge scale. Torture, false imprisonment, horrific water and food, abuse, and so on.

Gratitude goes to the US for their very humane, beautiful, generous actions to try to better the lives for millions in parts of the world where inhumanity present at an extreme level.

The US ought to extend it’s efforts (soldiers, money, etc) to other countries around the world that place harm over it’s people.

So much gratitude to the US soldiers for taking on the risk involved with pursuing these historical, beautiful actions done in the interest of humanity.

Iraq, Afganastan, and others should have been invaded and deconstructed decades ago. It would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

Israel is doing it’s best to defend itself against sub-human monster countries surrounding it. Israel is good for it’s citizens, a democracy, upholding the various freedoms. The other countries have little concern for these, are hatred based, their citizens are mostly conceptually impoverished, their citizens are subject to lack of freedoms, poor air, water, food, children and women often abused, police don’t protect well, police arrest without basis when it’s not warrented, don’t arrest when it is warrented, they abuse, torture often. Being among the monster countries of sub-human intellectually and emotionally impoverished people, they are doing well to protect themselves from the war assults on their people, including bombings at random times to non-military citizens at places like movie theaters, bars, city streets. Israel should do more to repress and overwhelm anyone who harms them, and the US should assist.

  4. Hi Abe,

I’m sure your republican, right wing, patriarchal view is standard in some parts of the world. As one single human being to another, I hope we are each aware that each of us has a right to our own view as the ‘correct’ one our own hearts and minds have arrived at.

I’m not going to argue with you, not because I can’t find where to begin, but because I’d end up writing a books worth of feelings and struggle to know where to stop.

I’m very liberal, a democrat, disagree with most of republicanism (their ideas and practicies), went to liberal arts schools, studied philsophy (ethics, political philosophy).

For the US to allow other countries to persist with harming their citizens (as I explain above [December 14th, 2006 at 4:40 am] would be selfish.

The slogan “let other countries do what they want, it’s their decision and right” is selfish profoundly. It’s very generous and shows great humanity to help others. Yes our political interests are at stake with Iraq and Afghanistan, and that was a part of our motivation to become involved. Well so be it. To become involved out of pure altruism is a little out of reach — something the US public couldn’t grasp — why we would spend so much money to help them when we weren’t being helped materially.

The UN ought to be involved in ensuring that all countries meet minimal standards of humanity for all of it’s citizens, and there should be enforcement of this. Tryannical contries like Iraq and Afghanistan etc should not be allowed to persist.
I’m amazed the former USSR changed. What a horrific place.
