Donna Williams hangs out with Autism Hangout
I met the lovely Craig Evans of Autism Hangout who did something very technologically amazing and filmed our video Skype interview between his office in Canada and mine in Australia 10,000 miles away. Essentially we linked up on Skype then as I chatted to him on the screen he turned away and faced a video camera he had facing himself and the screen behind him where I now appeared. The result is a sort of ‘TV’ interview. Very funky. Anyway, check it out. I talk about autism ‘fruit salads’ and what mine’s like, about health issues, co-morbids, agnosias, the culture-cure debate and ARTism in his Key Learnings on Autism series. He set this series up to bring FREE information to the masses of people who can’t afford the fancy conferences and gets to the basics of what some of the major public speakers in the autism field have to say. Here it is.
Warmly,

Thanks so much Donna, great interview.
I’m always pleased to see you out there contesting the myths, stereotypes and out dated ideas about spectrum people.
Question:
Any chance you and the band will come to NZ?
We’d love to see you play.
we’d love to come to NZ
if you reckon you can raise air miles, accommodation and meals for 6 band members reckon we’d all come over
Well you never know in the future! Would be lovely
Could I ask what’s an easy way to contact you?
I’m not great at tech stuff and haven’t managed to work out how through your website
Would you mind posting a transcript of this interview? The acoustics of the recording do a number on my auditory processing difficulties…
You’d have to approach Autism Hangout and ask them for it. I have no such transcript.
sorry.
