Don’t fear death…it is just the body evicting its TENANT… we never owned these houses, our biological mechanisms did… we rent space, pay for it with food, drink, warmth in caring for our host… the body… but all houses fail eventually because even with repairs some just can’t hold together long term… and there is a SUBJECTIVE self – you in YOUR world… and sure, that dies with the body… but your OBJECTIVE self… that is the you validated by all that encounters you, from a cat to a partner, to a friend, to a stranger at a bus stop, to a leaf you are touching, and that objective self continues in all who knew you… you live on in their souls for they are not yet evicted and can experience out OBJECTIVE self within their SUBJECTIVE self world… so if you want to live on, to metamophose, transform, not die, LIVE, LIVE NOW, LIVE OUT LOUD IN ALL THE WAYS YOU CAN, and the more you do, the more you will leave your objective self everywhere and you will see it will not die with you. As for cancer and slow undignified death… I joined Dignitas… I can pull the plug when I feel too much of the house has fallen down and even if you can’t fly to Switzerland, there are similar organisations in most countries that can help people with end of life matters… so don’t fear, let death mind its own business and live every day to the full.
