“Which of these Donna’s would you relate to or befriend?”

   I’d definately agree with Willy, but what is Willy?. I might also agree with Carol and Marnie. But the question is: Who is Kinjet, Marsaya, Caleb and Kimba, and what are they doing there? 😉

   Knowing you, you definitely can do the Schizoid Spock/Data thing with him 🙂 You have certainly turned to Aunty Donna. You have definitely dined with Carol. Reckon your head wouldn’t fall off with Marnie.

   So how did Kinjet, Marsaya, Caleb and Kimba come about? And is Kimba from the cartoon? Some of us loved that cartoon!

   The different people came due to a psychotic (schizophrenic – family history) episode I had when I was younger and also when I was older. Being possessed and seeing the shadow people. I attemptedly contacted the true self and told the other things to disappear by the age of 12/13 and have hence forth been in and out of various people in the ongoing and progressing evolution of the self.

   how young were you when the different people developed? I know you well enough to recognise a Schizotypal nature… and I share one… but not sure why you felt you’d experienced Schizoprhenia. Those with DID who develop other selves often think they are ghosts or that they might be possessed. Non human selves are common. Anne sees all the selves as cats and is herself rather ethereal, so sort of like a fairy. Many of the others identify Little Donna as a cat. Carol has become a rabbit and also been a cat. Da Boy is both a tomboy and an imp. As for shadow people, yes, when some people have fear they have seen shadow people. Anne saw ghost cats out the corner of her eye… not really seen them but felt them there, sensed them, or she felt they were cats. So I think this is not the same as the sort of delusions and halucinations in schizophrenia. Interestingly, they’ve found DID runs in families. It is also commonly misdiagnosed as many things including bipolar and schizophrenia.

   I just came back from a 4 day hospitalization. During the intake the nurse asked me if I ever had hallucinations. Of course I have….I see people and angels and devils and huge spiders and all sorts of odd patterns that the air makes when I am overwhelmed. Well, she seemed alarmed and asked if my psychiatrist knew about it…. I chuckled to myself. I suppose she did not know my diagnosis (DID) and further did not know that I would see stuff because it’s a symptom of DID not schizophrenia. I then decided to give her the more general, basic info and save the rest for my doctors who know me.

   Yes, I know of someone else with DID who saw things. One of mine, Anne, has seen glimpses of ghost cats out the corner of her eye… more FELT they were there. Lots of cats were killed in front of me growing up and Anne also imagines the others as cats.
